Welcome new cub scouts!
Our pack/den meetings are held each Monday at 6:30PM at the Salvation Army. We look forward to seeing you all there! Also, you can find scout apparel locally in downtown Hutchinson at Longs on Main street.
Popcorn Sales November 8th through 30th
Selling popcorn is one of our necessary fundraisers to help give us the money to do things, the more we sell, the more we do! We are also putting ideas together for some other fundraisers and will entertain ideas, especially if you are looking to head up the project Orders are due to Martha by 7PM tonight Sunday Nov. 30th. I I don't have your order by 7PM. then it will not be ordered., Call 662-4603 Orders will be ready for pick up this next Sat. I will pick them up Friday night Call me on my cell and I will have them ready for you to pick up. Cell 620-960-1386. Popcorn was all deleived and all money will be deposited Sat. so it will cover our check Monday.
December is "Get Out" month!
We will not be having weekly meetings at the Salvation Army for the month of December and are planning the first 3 weeks of that month to do activities outside the box. We will be setting up different places to visit and tour. We will be going to the Radio Station KSKU on Main St. Meet at 6:30 at radio station on Monday night. We will meet tonight at Hutch Library at 6:30 in childrens area.
No Meeting 12/15/08
Next meeting will be Sat Dec 20th at Christmas Party. Janurary 5, 2009 will be next meeting at Salvation Army at 6:30 p.m. Bring your book.
Christmas Party - December 20th
We will me on Sat Dec 20th. afternoon at 1:00PM at Skateland behind Kmart. A $5.00 Gift exchange is one of the fun things as well! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Bring money if you want any food at the skating rink.
Sleepover - Tentative January 23rd
This all night party is a ritual for our pack. Lots of games, activities, food, and fun. Pinewood Derby build-off and so on.
2nd Year Webelos will cross over in Febuary 2009!
Leroy and Jerry made a lot of progress with the webelos in their first year and they are really close to finishing up, so we will have an early ending to thier cub scouting and award them with the "Arrow of Light"! Congradulations boys!
Camp Alaska - Tentative Febuaury 20-22, location still pending
This is a camp designed for Webelos scouts teaching the importance of keeping warm in the cold and building relevant skills.
SUMMER CAMP
Summer Camp is just around the corner we need to start planning for it now. Are you going this year? Lets get our papers in by Feb. If you need help in getting the money to go to camp then get with Leroy soon. What leader is going to go with you this year? What leader has been scouting for over 20 years? How many leader do you have that have taken Wood Badge and OWL training and what is this training? If you don't know then go ask your leader if they have taken the training and what is it for. Don't tell the other scouts about the questions everyone has to find it for their self. There are three questions you need to tell Martha. Bring them to Jan meeting.
Pinewood Derby 2008
Webelos Cub, Matthew Boone #353 won his pack race on 3/8/08 and placed 3rd in Webelos division at district, congratulations Matthew!
Pinewood Derby 2007
Tiger Cub, Devon Saylor #353 won his pack race on 3/12/07 and placed 1st in the Tiger Cub division at District, congratulations Devon!
